1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Resumaster Inc. ("ResuMaster," "we," "us," or "our"), operating ResuMaster.co and the GTA Resume Builder brand, collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information.

We are a Canadian consumer business. We provide resume writing, cover letters, LinkedIn profile support, and related career-document services to individuals who are looking for work or advancing their careers, primarily in the Greater Toronto Area and elsewhere in Canada.

This policy applies to ResuMaster.co, our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads and lead forms, our website forms, WhatsApp and phone inquiries, email, and other channels we use to take and fulfill consumer requests. Use of the site is also subject to our Terms of Service.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers personal information about individual consumers who inquire about or purchase our resume and career-document services. It applies to information you give us directly, information we receive from Meta lead forms, and information collected automatically when you use our website or ads.

We are based in Ontario, Canada. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

3. Personal information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:

Information you provide

  • Name and contact details (phone number, email address)
  • Target role, job title, industry, or career goals
  • When you are applying or want to be contacted (application timing)
  • Whether you already have a resume, and copies of resumes or career documents you upload
  • Which services you are interested in (resume, cover letter, LinkedIn, consultation)
  • Whether you are ready to purchase or want pricing information (price readiness)
  • Job posting links, work history, education, and other details needed to prepare documents
  • Payment and billing details when you purchase a service
  • Messages, call recordings or notes, WhatsApp chats, and other correspondence

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser information, IP address, and approximate location
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, and referring URLs
  • Ad interaction data, including that Meta and Google collect when you see or click our ads
  • Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies described below

4. Meta lead forms

We run ads on Facebook and Instagram and may collect information through Meta lead forms. When you submit a lead form, Meta sends us the answers you provide so we can follow up about resume and career-document services.

A Meta lead form may collect:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Target role
  • Application timing (for example, how soon you are applying)
  • Resume availability (whether you already have a resume)
  • Service interest (which career-document service you want)
  • Price readiness (whether you are prepared to purchase or want pricing)
  • Permission to contact you about the inquiry

If you submit a Meta lead form, you agree that Resumaster Inc. may contact you by phone, email, SMS, WhatsApp, or similar channels about that inquiry and our consumer resume and career-document services. You can withdraw that permission at any time using the contact details below.

5. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and contact you about services you asked about
  • Prepare, deliver, and revise resumes and other career documents
  • Process payments and keep records of purchases
  • Operate, secure, and improve ResuMaster.co
  • Measure ads, including Meta and Google advertising, and understand which campaigns led to inquiries
  • Send service messages and, where permitted, follow-up or promotional messages
  • Comply with law, prevent fraud, and protect our rights

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use career documents or lead-form answers to train generalized public AI models.

6. Service providers and transfers

We share personal information with service providers who help us run the business, only as needed for those purposes. They are not permitted to use it for their own marketing. Current categories and providers include:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (United States) — Facebook and Instagram ads, Meta Pixel, and Meta lead forms. Meta processes the information you submit on a lead form and delivers it to us.
  • Google LLC (United States) — Google Analytics, Google Ads, and related tags used to measure site use and advertising.
  • Stripe, Inc. (United States and Canada) — payment processing when you pay for a service by card.
  • WhatsApp / Meta and Elfsight — customer chat widgets and messaging when you contact us on WhatsApp or through the site chat.
  • Website hosting and operations providers (including Vercel and the platform that hosts ResuMaster.co) — storing site content, form submissions, and files you upload so we can provide the service.

We are established in Canada. Some providers process information in the United States or other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws than Canada. We use providers we believe are appropriate for the service and require them to protect the information they handle for us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect a person from harm, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business, provided the recipient continues to protect the information consistently with this policy.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

  • Lead-form and inquiry records: typically up to 24 months after our last contact about that inquiry, unless you ask us to delete sooner and we are not required to keep the record.
  • Resumes and career documents: for the engagement and a reasonable follow-up period (typically up to 24 months) so we can provide revisions you request.
  • Payment and tax records: as required by Canadian tax and accounting rules (generally six years).
  • Analytics and advertising data: according to each provider's settings (for example, Google Analytics retention).

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly de-identify it.

8. Access, correction, deletion, and withdrawal

Subject to limited exceptions in Canadian privacy law, you may:

  • Ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request a copy
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need, including a Meta lead-form submission
  • Withdraw consent for marketing or for further contact about an inquiry
  • Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link, or by contacting us

How to make a request:

  • Email gtaresumebuilder@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy request"
  • Tell us whether you want access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent
  • Include enough information for us to find your record (name, email, and phone used on the form help)

We monitor this inbox. We may need to verify that the request comes from you. We will respond within 30 days, or tell you if we need more time as permitted by law. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing we already completed, and we may still keep information we are legally required to retain (for example, payment records).

9. Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies

We and our advertising and analytics providers use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to operate the site, remember preferences, measure traffic, and understand whether our ads led to an inquiry. This includes Google tags (including Google Analytics and Google Ads) and the Meta Pixel.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some site features may not work if you do. You can also use Meta and Google ad settings to limit ad personalization.

10. Children

Our services are for individuals seeking employment and career-document help. They are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. If we make a material change, we will take additional steps appropriate to the change, such as a notice on the site.
